In this podcast Lisa discusses how to develop a good team culture and how important your state of being, your values and your consistency is in helping the team achieve it's goals.

Why goals should stretch and challenge a team but be doable. 

She discusses the leaders emotional state and how influential this is on the team around them and how the culture in a company or a sports teams is always a reflection of the leadership. 

If your team isn't performing, look to yourself first.

She discusses the 5  different levels of being. 

1. Being Present

2. On Alert

3. Loaded state - things are go pear shaped

4. Fight or flight state 

5. Total overwhelm and full on panic.

If you turn up in any level except level 1 your team will likely be on the next step up. 

So reflect on how you are turning up.

She looks at the importance of consistency, openess, transparency, showing vulnerability, understanding your own strengths and weaknesses.

These things lead to trust and higher performance.
The team will always be looking to you the leader for guidance.

I am getting my mojo back with regards to my health and running after treatment for breast cancer, I connected with Lisa as I was looking for positive influences from people who are long distance runners and understand our mindset. Lisa’s podcasts have been a key factor in getting me out of a negative space where I allowed others limiting beliefs to stop me from following my heart and what I believe is right for me. After 18 months of being in cancer recovery mode I wanted to get out of the cancer mindset and back to achieving goals that had been put aside.
