DNA Blueprint Package with Lisa Tamati
Stop guessing. Read the manual you were born with.
A practitioner-only genetic test, read by Lisa Tamati alongside a full Cell Blueprint assessment, and turned into a complete personal health programme you will use for the rest of your life.
92 genes. 113 variants. A 121-page report. Plus a full Cell Blueprint assessment and a 90-minute one-on-one with Lisa. Practitioner-grade DNA testing, available throughout New Zealand.

Genetics loads the gun. Environment pulls the trigger.
Every other test you will ever do measures a moment. Your bloods reflect the last few weeks. Your microbiome shifts with every trip and every course of antibiotics. Your hormones move across the month and across the decade.
Your DNA is the one thing that does not move. The variants you carry today are the variants you were born with and the variants you will die with. That sounds fatalistic. It is the opposite.
A gene variant is not a verdict. It is a tendency. If you carry a slow COMT, you clear stress hormones and oestrogen slowly, which means high-intensity stress, late caffeine and certain supplements affect you more than they affect the person next to you. Knowing that, you build a life that works with it. If you carry the FADS variants that reduce your conversion of plant omega-3s, you stop relying on flaxseed and start eating oily fish or supplementing properly. If your vitamin D pathway is compromised, “normal” blood levels are not enough for you.
None of these things show up on a standard blood panel. All of them shape how you feel every day. All of them are workable once you know.
This is why I tell every client the same thing. If you only ever do one test, do this one. It is not the cheapest. It is the only one you will never have to repeat.
92 genes. 113 variants. Eight systems.
Digestion
Lactose, gluten and histamine handling, B12 absorption, iron metabolism, and how your gut actually responds to what you eat.
Energy
Mitochondrial function, nutrient conversion, and the variants behind flat afternoons and slow recovery.
Hormones
How you make, use and clear oestrogen, testosterone and thyroid hormone, and how you respond to oral contraceptives and HRT.
Stress and cognitive performance
COMT, MAO-A, BDNF and the dopamine and serotonin pathways. How you handle pressure, focus, motivation and mood.
Inflammation and longevity
Your inflammatory set-point, antioxidant defences, and the levers that turn inflammation down.
Athletic performance
Power versus endurance bias, response to strength training, recovery speed and injury tendency.
DNA protection and repair
Repair capacity and the nutrients your particular repair pathways depend on.
Detoxification
Phase I and II liver pathways, glutathione and superoxide dismutase capacity, and your sensitivity to specific environmental exposures.

Your APOE status is included, with what it means for your fat metabolism, cognition and antioxidant needs. BRCA1 and BRCA2 are not tested. This is a wellness and nutrigenomics report, not a disease-risk screen.
121 pages, and a practitioner who builds a programme out of them.
The report
Your myDNA Comprehensive Health Report runs to roughly 121 pages and is built in four parts:
- A detailed walk-through of all eight systems, with your genotype for every variant and what the research says it means for you.
- A strengths summary. Where your genetics are working in your favour, system by system.
- A weaknesses summary. Where you need to pay attention, with the epigenetic levers that can change the outcome.
- A personalised, DNA-based grocery list. The specific foods that meet your specific nutrient requirements. Not a generic healthy-eating sheet, but a list generated from your variants.
- A clinical research summary. Gene-by-gene tables with the peer-reviewed literature behind every finding, drawn from over 1,000 sources.
You also receive your raw data file: over 650,000 SNPs, yours to keep.

What Lisa adds
Any practitioner can order this test. Most will hand you the report and talk you through the highlights. That is not what this is.
Your genetics are the spine of the work, not the whole of it. Alongside your report I run a full Cell Blueprint assessment and take your history, your symptoms, what you are already taking and what you are actually trying to achieve. Then I build one programme out of all of it.
That integration is the part that matters. A variant tells you a tendency, not whether that tendency is currently costing you anything. A slow methylator who feels well needs a different programme from a slow methylator running on empty, and the 121 pages cannot tell you which one you are. Your genetics set the terrain; how you are actually functioning determines where we start.
You receive:
- A complete personal health programme built from your genetics and your Cell Blueprint assessment. Not a report summary, but my read on what is going on and what to do about it.
- The eating pattern, the specific nutrients and doses, the training and recovery approach, the sleep and stress structure, and the supplements that fit your variants. Including the popular ones you should not be taking.
- Everything prioritised in the order you should tackle it, rather than in the order the 121 pages happen to present it.
- Suggested follow-up testing where a genetic finding warrants confirming, and exactly what to ask for.
- A 90-minute one-on-one consultation. Extensive and unhurried, long enough to work through the whole picture properly.
After more than a decade in genetics and epigenetics and fifteen years in functional health, what you are buying is judgement about which of your 113 variants deserve your attention this year, and what to do about them. That is the part a report cannot do.
Four steps to your blueprint
Order
Your collection kit is posted to your home address anywhere in New Zealand within 24 hours.
Swab
No fasting, no preparation, no disruption to your day. You simply do it first thing in the morning, before you eat, drink, brush or floss. Two easy cheek swabs at home. Then drop the prepaid courier pack at any NZ Post depot the same day.
Analysis
Your sample is analysed by NutriPATH at a CAP-accredited, CLIA-certified laboratory. Results come back to me in roughly 10 to 15 working days from arrival. Start to finish, allow around four to five weeks.
Assess and consult
I work through your report alongside your Cell Blueprint assessment and build your programme, then we sit down for 90 minutes and go through all of it. You leave with a document you will use for the rest of your life.
This is for you if
- You are healthy and want to stay that way, and you are tired of generic advice that does not fit you.
- You have tried the diets and the supplement stacks and cannot work out why some things work for you and some do not.
- You have a family history that worries you and want to know your actual levers, not a statistical risk score.
- You are an athlete or a high performer who wants to train, recover and fuel according to your own biology.
- You want to make one decision about testing and be done with it, rather than chasing a new panel every six months.
This is not for you if
- You are in an acute health crisis and need a doctor today. Genetics informs the long game. Please see your GP or specialist first.
- You want a diagnosis. A DNA test does not diagnose anything, and neither do I. It tells you your tendencies and how to work with them.
- You want disease-risk percentages. This report deliberately does not do that. It focuses on what you can change.

Your sample is analysed by NutriPATH at a CAP-accredited, CLIA-certified laboratory and your myDNA report is released to me as your nominated practitioner. Your data is held on secure, encrypted servers, cannot be used to identify you, is never sold, and is never shared with third parties without your consent. Your results contain no disease diagnoses and have no bearing on insurance policies or premiums.
If you want your data deleted and your sample destroyed after you receive your report, you can request that at any time and it will be done. I keep your report in my secure client records for as long as we work together, and delete it on request.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as 23andMe or an ancestry test?
No. Consumer DNA testing looks at a broad set of markers for ancestry with a thin layer of health traits. This is a practitioner-only clinical report built for nutrigenomics, with over 1,000 peer-reviewed sources behind it, and every gene on the panel was chosen because there is something you can do about the result.
Will it tell me if I am going to get a disease?
No, and deliberately so. The report does not give disease-risk statistics. It shows you how deficiency or toxicity may affect gene function, and what you can actively do about it through diet, lifestyle and environment.
Do you test BRCA1 or BRCA2?
No. Other DNA repair genes are analysed, and if you carry variants in certain repair genes the report covers dietary ways to support tumour-suppressor function.
Do you test APOE?
Yes. Your APOE status is included, along with what it means for your fat metabolism, cognition and antioxidant needs.
What about coeliac and gluten?
HLA-DQ2.5 and HLA-DQ8 are both tested.
Do I need to stop my medications or supplements first?
No. Medications and supplements do not affect DNA results. Keep taking everything as normal.
How accurate is it?
Your genotypes themselves are not up for debate. That is your blueprint. What the report is careful about is interpretation, which is why you will see language like “may” and “could”. Epigenetics means a variant is a starting point, not a fixed outcome. Every variant included in the report passes three stages of quality assurance.
How long does it take?
Around 10 to 15 working days at the lab once your sample arrives. Start to finish, allow four to five weeks.
Do I have to fast?
No. You just do the swab first thing in the morning, before you eat, drink, brush your teeth or use mouthwash. Because you have slept, that is already enough. The one thing that matters is doing it before anything goes in your mouth. Food, drink or toothpaste in the sample means a recollection and another month’s wait.
I have already done DNA testing elsewhere. Can you interpret mine?
Sometimes. Contact me with the name of the test and I will tell you whether the data is usable. If it is, I offer interpretation and protocol without the kit, at a reduced price.
Can I do this for my child?
Recommendations apply at all ages, but for anyone under 18 a guardian must purchase the test and be present for the results consultation.
Is it available in Australia?
Not yet. New Zealand only for now. Get in touch and I will let you know when that changes.
What is the Cell Blueprint assessment?
A structured assessment of how your systems are currently functioning: energy, digestion, hormones, detoxification, stress load. It is what turns your genetic tendencies into a picture of what is happening in your body right now, rather than what could happen one day.
Is this just someone reading my report to me?
No. You get a complete personal health programme. The report is one input into it, alongside your Cell Blueprint assessment and your history. What you leave with is a plan you act on, not a summary of a document you already have.
Ninety minutes. Is that really necessary?
Yes. There are 113 variants in your report plus everything your assessment turns up. An hour is enough to skim it. Ninety minutes is enough to work through it properly and leave you knowing exactly what to do on Monday.
What happens after the consult?
You have your document and you get on with it. If you want ongoing support, follow-up sessions are available. There is no obligation.
Can I buy this as a gift?
Yes. The recipient books their consult once their results are in.
